You (or your child) log what's being learned, and Learning Loom's Journey Tracker helps identify where CAPS outcomes are already being met — even if you didn't set out to teach "to the curriculum." This creates a clear, structured record without requiring you to change your content.

It's the core tool in the portal. It records your child's progress over time, gives you a clear view of what's being covered, and offers peace of mind that you're doing enough — all while respecting your child's individual pace.

It's not all-or-nothing. You can use it purely for structure and CAPS visibility, or you can opt into the full reporting and assessment process — whichever suits your family.

It can help either way. For newcomers, Learning Loom assists with navigating the documents needed to register with the Department of Education. For families already registered, it helps keep your ongoing compliance and reporting on track.

Together with registered SACE educators, Learning Loom produces structured reports — including assessments, graded report cards, and portfolio summaries — that reflect your child's actual progress. These can be used for your own records, submitted to the Department of Education, or provided if your child enrols back into a mainstream school.

If you choose to submit assessments, year-end assessments can be marked by registered teachers for added credibility. Participation in assessments is optional — you can use Learning Loom just for tracking and CAPS mapping if you prefer.

• Intermediate Phase (Grade 4–7): R2,950/child/year

• Senior Phase (Grade 8–9): R2,950/child/year (fees vary slightly in Grade 9 due to the extra level of reporting, assessment, and documentation required)

All phases include the full feature set — Journey Tracker, mapping, structure, reporting, compliance support, and customisation. There's no tiered add-on pricing.
