When you register, Learning Loom gives you a helpful overview of educator-approved and popular curriculum options for each subject, so you don’t have to navigate it all on your own.
With CAPS learning outcomes, assessments and rubrics built into the platform, Learning Loom gives you a clear place to start and helps you find your feet.

Upon registration and curriculum selection, parents receive a personalised Education Plan containing the key planning and information required by the DBE for parents who choose to register or renew their intention to homeschool.
It outlines the selected curricula, subjects and planned learning for the year, providing a clear and organised document to support the registration process.

A structured view of key CAPS learning outcomes by grade and subject, helping you connect your homeschool activities to the learning being developed.

Short, engaging assessments designed around key CAPS outcomes. They provide evidence of learning, help identify any gaps in understanding, and allow parents to track their child’s progress.
These assessments are parent-proctored and parent-marked.

Guidance for parents to mark assessments and evaluate projects consistently.

SACE-educator-approved assessments covering the key CAPS topics taught throughout the year. They are parent-proctored and externally marked by a SACE-registered educator.

An organised record of completed learning threads (CAPS outcomes), including the date each outcome was mastered and the corresponding assessment result.

Termly reports reflect the average of all assessment marks submitted by the parent for the learning threads (CAPS outcomes) completed during the period.

A record of the learner's results following the relevant year-end assessment and marking process.

A Phase Achievement Report confirms whether the learner has achieved the minimum level of learning prescribed by the DBE for the phase.
The report is based on the evidence of learning and assessment results submitted through the Learning Loom platform and is reviewed and signed off by a SACE-registered educator.
